A new report from Watershed Investigations (link in comments) detects superbug-creating genes at Lough Neagh.

Commenting on The Nolan show, Green Party Leader Mal O’Hara raised his concerns that things at Lough Neagh are getting worse rather than better.

It’s part of a wider failure by the Executive Parties to make real positive change on the issues that really matter to people.

A High Court judge this week accused Stormont’s own departments of being “unprincipled” and “gaslighting” the court. Not our characterisation - the judge’s.

DfI and DAERA signed off on a £2.1 billion road scheme with no credible evidence it complies with Northern Ireland’s own Climate Change Act. When challenged, they tried to introduce new arguments mid-case. The judge saw through it.

Alliance launching an EPA petition is bold.
Bold because:
✅ EPA was in New Decade New Approach (they negotiated)
✅ EPA was in their 2022 manifesto
❌They signed a Programme for Government without it
✅ Their minister runs DAERA - the dept that would create it

Alliance allowed a rollback of hard-won environmental commitments when it mattered most - at the Programme for Government negotiating table.

A petition is not a substitute for a red line.
